A well-established Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Waterford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of educational construction projects while managing cost control and financial aspects.
Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting for construction projects.
Monitor project costs and provide accurate forecasts to ensure projects are completed within budget.
Manage subcontractor agreements, including negotiation of terms and agreements.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with cost plans.
Prepare tender documents and assist with the procurement process.
Review and assess contract variations, claims, and extensions of time.
Liaise with clients, project managers, and site teams to address cost-related issues.
Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of costs, changes, and financial details.
Provide support in the preparation of final accounts and ensure timely submission.
Requirements: 3+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a main contractor.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management.
Proficiency in cost estimation, cost control, and tendering.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with construction software and Microsoft Office applications.
Salary & Benefits: €65,000 - €75,000, based on experience.
