The Senior Accountant will work directly with the Finance Manager of the company to ensure the day-to-day activities of the finance department are complete to a high standard, the finance department goals and targets are met, and ensure the finance team are managed, supported, and developed.
Responsibilities
1. Management Reporting - preparation of monthly cost reports for Senior Management review, with variance analysis, WIP reporting, monitoring project performance.
2. Financial Reporting - month-end reporting and management accounts preparation.
3. Finance Operations - General Ledger maintenance and all Balance Sheet reconciliations.
4. Ensuring Tax compliance for Irish and UK companies (VAT, PAYE, RCT, CIS).
5. Preparing the annual statutory accounts including significant involvement in the external audit process.
6. Support the Senior Finance Team, assisting with reporting such as forecasting, budgets, and cashflows.
7. Supporting other departments to perform commercial and financial duties as required.
8. Ensuring accuracy of financial and management information.
9. Compliance of finance procedures, continuous review, and documentation of procedures.
10. Identifying opportunities to drive profits and determine cost efficiencies in the Group.
11. Ad hoc commercial and management reporting as required.
Minimum Requirements
1. Professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience.
2. Strong commercial focus.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organisation.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Well organised, self-motivated, and the ability to manage work within fixed deadlines.
