Job Purpose:
To assist the Head Chef in maintaining a clean kitchen and dining environment while adhering to all food safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Presentation:
* Maintain professionalism in demeanor, attire, and personal hygiene.
* Adhere to company uniform and PPE requirements.
* Follow strict handwashing and infection control guidelines.
2. Kitchen Duties:
* Ensure dishwasher and surrounding areas are kept clean and efficient.
* Comply with safe storage and usage of food and cleaning products.
* Adhere to HACCP guidelines and ensure timely crockery cleaning.
* Minimize waste and rotate stock accordingly to meet catering demands.
3. Health & Safety:
* Follow established infection control policies and safety protocols.
* Handle waste and spills safely, applying manual handling techniques as necessary.
* Ensure a safe working environment for residents and staff.
* Report equipment defects and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining equipment.
4. Communication:
* Report resident welfare concerns to nursing staff promptly.
* Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve common goals.
* Attend team meetings and communicate effectively with management.
5. Administration & Improvement:
* Complete mandatory training sessions and attend scheduled appraisals.
* Stay updated on company policies and contribute to personal development.
