Procurement Manager Job Description
FRS Recruitment is recruiting for a Procurement Manager on behalf of a progressive agricultural business located north of Cork City. This is a full-time permanent role.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will manage Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) activities, driving cost focus, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance. They will provide sourcing, contract, and supplier relationship management for the category, achieving reduced costs, improved operating efficiency, and product/service quality.
Responsibilities
1. Manage supply chain and procurement activities to support the value proposition.
2. Review existing suppliers to ensure best value for money and competitiveness in the market.
3. Create and coordinate an annual savings pipeline to deliver additional value to the laboratory business.
4. SUPPLIER COMPLIANCE: Support and drive the business to further ambitions and reach targeted goals on compliance with suppliers.
5. CARRY OUT SUPPLIER COMPETITIVE TENDER ACTIVITIES TO MAXIMISE COMMERCIAL BENEFIT.
6. Ensure correct levels of reporting to the business and objectives are achieved.
7. General price increase and inflation management.
8. SUPPORT REBATE COLLECTION AND COORDINATION.
9. Work closely with stakeholders, ensuring close collaboration with on-site teams.
10. Attend key trade fairs worldwide to maintain supplier contacts/relationships and source new suppliers.
11. Work with the CFO to maintain accurate purchasing forecasts and cash flows.
12. Minimise stock levels, ensuring timely turnover of raw materials and packaging.
Requirements
* Degree education with 8-10 years' experience.
* Strong business acumen.
* Knowledgeable in negotiation and contracting processes, tools, and systems.
* Business partner mentality with excellent stakeholder management skills.
* An effective communicator who can operate at multiple levels.
* Results-oriented, strong focus on achievement of targeted results.
* Project management skills with a focus on execution.
* Able to prioritise, create a plan, and deliver it.
* Team player, proactive, self-starter.
