Purpose Statement:
Supports efficient operations within the production area, optimizes existing processes, and ensures production goals are met by monitoring equipment performance and correcting problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implements staffing plans, identifies resource requirements, and liaises with next-level management for personnel approval and coordination.
2. Develops direct reports through training, assigning tasks, and conducting performance reviews.
3. Monitors daily work operations, provides direction, and guides exempt employees and skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.
4. Interacts with internal and external customers, meets regularly, responds to requests, and explains procedures.
5. interprets and executes policies affecting work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
6. Contributes to the development of operational policies and procedures.
7. Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures, including FDA, BSI, employment law, etc.
8. Contributes to budget development and monitoring through regular cost analysis with next-level management.
9. Participates in validation activities, providing input to protocols and reports and managing execution.
Education and Job Skills:
1. NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline, +6 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Monitors exempt individuals' progress toward departmental goals, costs of projects, human, and material resources, and the external environment in the technical or professional responsibility area.
3. Develops new work processes, improved utilization of human and material resources, facilitates continuous improvement, investigates, and solves problems impacting work processes and personnel.
4. Promotes group goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable staff, and provides leadership to assigned units.
5. Schedules human and material resources within established budgets and carries out operations to ensure availability.
6. Makes day-to-day decisions regarding work processes or schedules within established guidelines to achieve program objectives.
7. Works under supervision, independently determines solutions, and has work reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
8. Provides direction, guidance, supervision, and evaluates performance of subordinates.
