Job Title: Civil Engineer
Company: Our Client, the leading Maintenance contractor for Motorways and National Roads in Ireland.
The role of a Civil Engineer is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across all activities. This involves ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, as well as managing packages of works that involve direct labour and subcontractors. Efficient use of plant, labour, and materials is also essential in delivering high-quality works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee site setting-out and supervision.
* Plan and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and resources.
* Prepare project proposals and budget estimates.
* Develop strong relationships with Local Authorities, TII Representatives, and key stakeholders.
* Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Manage documentation, reports, and compliance records.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain quality control.
* Represent the company at stakeholder meetings and client engagements.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or related field.
* Experience in Civil Engineering, Road Maintenance, or Highways Projects.
* Knowledge of TII Standards, Traffic Management, and Infrastructure Regulations.
* Strong project management and budgeting skills.
* Excellent communication, planning, and reporting abilities.
* IT proficiency and a full driving license.
