We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
How you’ll make an impact:
As a member of the software development team which implements end-to-end solutions for automotive IP and satellite features for SiriusXM family of services for use in Automotive, Marine and Aviation systems. Participate in software development and support efforts for software architectures, analysis of alternate implementations/techniques, design, implementation, documentation, and assisting our customers integrating our technology into their systems.
What you’ll do:
* Software development for advanced features, architectures, and platforms for end-to-end solutions for the implementation of SiriusXM technology used in Automotive infotainment systems and head units.
* Participate with entire engineering process from concept through release to create new features in an agile process.
* Collaborate with SiriusXM receiver manufacturer partners to resolve outstanding user interface software issues during the product development process.
* Participate in SW estimates and scoping by identifying increasingly refined work and cost estimates through the decision making and implementation process.
* Author software components, ensuring they meet functional and quality requirements.
* Support and resolve encountered design and implementation issues over the entire development process from conceptual design through implementation and release.
* Participate in reviews sessions for new user interfaces, features and software implementation designs with the software team and other stakeholders.
* Diagnose and resolve escalated issues.
What you’ll need:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, SW Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired in SW engineering with 7+ years’ experience, primarily in software development projects.
* Experience in a variety of programming languages/frameworks across the stack including C/C++, Rust, Java, React Native, JSON, QT, Flutter.
* Experience with advanced software development environments (IDE, compilers, operating systems, source management tools, CI/CD, and test tools).
* Familiarity with embedded, real-time software with the ability to clearly articulate complex system requirements, and design considerations.
* Strong familiarity with various service discovery protocols within a distributed system architecture (e.g. IoT or a plurality of embedded clients working in concert with a backend server).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
