Assistant Accountant Job:
As an Assistant Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Financial Controller in providing financial and commercial analysis to key stakeholders.
Your work will directly contribute to meeting the business's key objectives and plans.
You'll be involved in various aspects of accounting from assisting with monthly management accounts to managing intercompany accounts.
Your ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines will be crucial in this role.
Assist with the timely production of monthly management accounts.
Perform variance analysis - actual versus budget/previous year.
Calculate accruals and prepayments.
Prepare, analyse & post journals at month end/year end.
Maintain key schedules such as fixed asset register.
Own balance sheet reconciliations - reconciling balances to trial balance.
Manage intercompany accounts - recharges and reconciliations.
Assist with annual audit.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators for the depot.
Requirements of the
Assistant Accountant Job:
The ideal candidate for this Assistant Accountant position is a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You have a knack for analysing and presenting data clearly.
Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
You're competent in IT with extensive experience using Excel.
Your attention to detail is second-to-none and you're known for your high level of integrity and ethics.
Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse and present data clearly.
Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Competent in IT, particularly extensive experience with Excel.
Excellent attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment as required.
High level of integrity and ethics.
