Our client - a large food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced E H & S Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the EHS Manager in ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organisation.Responsibilities:Develop and implement environmental, health and safety policies and proceduresConduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actionsTrain employees on safety procedures and provide ongoing support and guidanceMonitor and report on environmental, health and safety performance to managementMaintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near missesInvestigate incidents and accidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actionsLiaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all relevant legislationDevelop and maintain emergency response plans and proceduresParticipate in the development and implementation of sustainability initiativesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related fieldPreferably 1 - 2 years manufacturing experience (not required)Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and legislationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applicationsTrain the Trainer / Occupational First Aid preferredOther information:Hours of Work: 8am - 4:30pmReport to the EHS Manager
