Our client is a leading Engineering Consultancy with projects in the datacenter, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, educational sectors.
This role can be based in Cork or Dublin.
Situated in central Dublin, they offer numerous benefits including flexible working hours & time in lieu.
Responsibilities:
1. Specifying and procurement of process & BMS field instrumentation
2. Development of I/O lists and instrument indexes
3. Designing of control systems, schematics and drawings in the process, biopharma, datacentres and building services industries
4. Development of instrument datasheets from concept through procurement
5. Participate in HAZOPs, ATEX reviews, SIL assessments and Interlock reviews
6. Development of Functional Specifications (FS) and User Requirements Specifications (URS) when required
7. Development of system architecture for new Control Systems
8. Working with automation contractors in developing solutions/systems
9. GAMP5 lifecycle and 21CFR Part 11 Compliance
10. Establish automation and controls systems scope of work
11. Site work, dealing with clients / electrical contractors
12. Attendance at site meetings, construction and commissioning support
13. Estimating values of both completed works and where required approximate values of any additional works.
14. Snag list preparation (of installed works)
15. Working with, lead and coach younger engineers and co-workers
16. Adherence to quality standards and attention to detail and accuracy
17. Working with bus technology - Fieldbus, Profibus, Devicenet, Ethernet IP, etc. and familiarity with DCS/PCS, BMS and PLC systems.
18. Be fully conversant with current Irish Regulations e.g. ET-101:2008 (National Rules for Electrical Installations).
Requirements:
1. Third level degree in a relevant I&C Engineering discipline
2. Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, ideally in an organisation involved in delivering Industrial projects
3. Have the ability to work with Automation Contractors in developing solutions/systems.
4. Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional design team.
Package:
Salary €80k - €90k dependant on experience
