Job Title: Healthcare ICT Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare ICT Engineer to join our team.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee, working 35 hours per week on site in Dublin 9. The role is initially for 12 months with possible extensions thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Desktop Support and Maintenance:
o Provide technical support for desktop systems, including hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
o Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
o Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches to desktop systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
* Deployment and Configuration:
o Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, peripherals, and software applications in compliance with Hospital standards and policies.
o Image and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices with standard software and configurations.
* Application Support:
o Provide support for healthcare-specific applications used on desktop systems (training will be provided).
o Troubleshoot application issues, perform application installations, and assist end-users in utilising the applications effectively.
* Security and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and security best practices.
o Implement and enforce desktop security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.
* End-User Training and Documentation:
o Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to educate end-users on desktop systems, software applications, and best practices.
o Provide effective and friendly end-user support, assisting with questions, issues, and inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Mandatory ICT technical qualifications, preferably a bachelor degree (desirable) in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems (Windows), and software applications.
* Proficient in desktop imaging and deployment tools.
* Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience (2 & 4+ years) as an ICT Engineer or similar role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
* Familiarity with healthcare applications, and clinical decision support tools.
* Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
