We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our Finance team in Ballina.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with the OECD's Pillar Two framework, including the implementation of global minimum tax rules and reporting requirements.
* Review US and local GAAP tax provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Support Transfer Pricing Manager to implement policies and create documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Conduct regular reviews and updates to transfer pricing strategies.
* Support developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities across multiple jurisdictions.
* Partner with Global Finance to manage tax audits and disputes, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
* Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment on tax-related matters and support business initiatives.
* Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations in Europe and the US, and assess their impact on the company's tax position.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA) preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in international tax, with a focus on European and US tax provisions, tax planning, and transfer pricing.
* In-depth knowledge of OECD Pillar Two framework and global minimum tax rules.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
* Proven track record of managing tax audits and disputes.
* Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Professional proficiency in English.
