Role And Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
1. Report directly to and work closely with the Commercial Director to ensure that Bretland’s business objectives are met and expected project profit margins are exceeded.
2. Develop good working relationships with all project stakeholders (internally and externally).
3. Site feasibility studies: Carry out site feasibility studies, establish project budgets, assist with program development, and liaise with design team members.
4. Design assist: Provide advice at the different stages of design development, comment on constructability issues, cost advice on the design development, and cash flow projections.
5. Procurement: Prepare and submit tenders in accordance with tender drawings and specifications, to meet tender deadlines.
6. Provide alternative pricing and submittals for procurement projects, looking at constructability issues, alternative specifications, and alternative program solutions.
7. Develop cost plans/bill of quantities as required for each project.
8. Advise on contractual arrangements.
9. Prepare tender documentation for subcontractors and suppliers, procure, analyze, and advise on tender selection.
10. Award subcontracts and work within the Bretland process and procedures.
11. Complete monthly valuations, cost reports, and subcontractor payment recommendations.
12. Compile and update project cash flow projections.
13. Prepare final account including adjustment for variations and measured work, for main contract and subcontractors accounts.
14. Monitor and administer the contract and report on delays/disruptions, and other claims under the contract conditions.
15. Liaise with the design team on all of the above.
16. Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
