WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Review blueprints and instructions
* Trim and finish each composite piece
* Inspect components to ensure they meet specifications
* Maintain equipment and tools
* Document your work according to company guidelines
* Follow all safety protocols
* Inspect equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* At least 5 years of experience working with composite material
* Experience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other composite materials, prepreg and wet layup.
* Ability to work in a R&D atmosphere with direct instruction from lead and engineering.
* Read blueprints and build at a fast and aggressive pace.
* Background in oven operation and programming, ply cutter operation, some programming knowledge and operation and understanding of heated platten press use.
* Lamination skills of at least 5 years experience.
* Materials knowledge and storage a must, as well as vacuum bagging process and demolding parts.
* High school diploma or GED certificate
* Able to stand for extended periods of time
* We work in a fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and efficiency.
* Trapped tooling knowledge and layup is a plus
* U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
US Hourly Range
$35—$45 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
