Job Description:
The client, a public sector body in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join them. The post holder will ensure the effective functioning of assigned areas of responsibility in line with statutory requirements and service plan targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing financial expertise within the division and liaising with Finance regarding reporting and cost control
* Business analysis and decision support
* Strategy and business planning support
* Performance reporting and improvement for finance and compliance
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Providing hands-on Finance Support to day-to-day operations, including all aspects of financial governance and reporting
* Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of supplier payments and payment practices
* Supporting colleagues in ensuring effective financial performance management
* Providing support/oversight to ad-hoc projects and ongoing operations
Essential Criteria:
* Member or passed finalist of a recognised accountancy body (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACMA)
* Demonstrable record of achievement in financial analysis/reporting
* Proficient in use of financial software (SAP or similar ERP system) and MS Excel
