We are assisting our prestigious partner in East Cork, a region located 30 kilometers from Cork City, in their search for a dedicated and experienced Hotel Deputy General Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to contribute to the continued success of a well-established hotel.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the hotel's daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and driving business performance.
You will act as a second-in-command, stepping up to take leadership when required and be integral to maintaining high standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the hotel, maintaining a smooth operational environment.
* Lead, motivate, and manage department heads and staff to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality outcomes.
* Ensure guest satisfaction by upholding high standards of service and handling guest feedback or complaints effectively.
* Monitor financial performance, implementing strategies to meet revenue and profit targets.
* Assist in recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
* Oversee health, safety, and compliance standards in line with company policies.
* Contribute to business development efforts, including networking, fam trips, and trade events.
* Step into the General Manager role during their absence, ensuring continuity in leadership and operational management.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in hotel management or as a department head (e.g., F&B, Front Office, or Operations).
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities, financial acumen, and attention to detail.
* Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
* Must reside in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
