Strategic Procurement Specialist
Morgan McKinley are working exclusively with a leading global organisation to find an experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist. This role plays a key part in supporting global and regional procurement initiatives, driving strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimisation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Source raw materials and components to support manufacturing operations.
2. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
3. Manage supplier relationships, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and improve overall procurement efficiency.
4. Support new unit pricing, supplier qualification, and contract negotiations.
5. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless supply chain performance.
6. Analyse market trends to optimize procurement strategies and mitigate supply risks.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience in operational procurement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
2. Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
3. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines.
4. Commercial acumen and analytical skills to drive cost efficiencies.
5. Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
6. Relevant qualification in business or a technical discipline; procurement certifications (APICS CPIM, IIPMM Cert/Dip) are a plus.
