About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Claims, you’ll oversee a team handling Motor and Home claims, ensuring efficient, fair, and customer-focused resolutions. You’ll play a key role in coaching, mentoring, and driving performance, while also maintaining strong technical oversight. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a growing company, shaping best practices and contributing to operational excellence.
This role is based full-time on-site at our Cherrywood, Dublin 18 office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a team of claims handlers, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
* Oversee claims handling for Motor and Home claims, ensuring compliance with OUTsurance policies and regulatory requirements.
* Provide strong technical claims oversight, guiding the team on complex claims and escalation points.
* Monitor key performance metrics, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adapting to the needs of a growing business.
* Foster a collaborative and engaging work environment that supports development and knowledge-sharing.
* Ensure adherence to risk, governance, and regulatory requirements.
* Act as an escalation point for complex claims and customer queries.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 5+ years handling Motor and/or Home claims in an insurance environment.
Management Experience: Previous leadership experience in a claims environment is an advantage but not mandatory. Candidates with strong technical expertise and mentoring experience are encouraged to apply.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of claims processes, liability assessment, and reserving.
Attention to Detail: Ability to assess claims critically and ensure accuracy in decision-making.
Dynamic Mindset: Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in a growing company.
Customer-Focused: Committed to delivering a fair and positive claims experience.
Nice to Have (but not mandatory):
Experience handling bodily injury claims.
