We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to support internal global ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) operational and risk execution actions supporting company goals and external regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity for an individual to develop new or additional skills in understanding the expanding requirements organizations are taking to meet stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate has strong analytics and process control-oriented skills; 3 - 5 years accounting/ finance experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to navigate across an organization and with external subject expertise to support implementation and reporting on key metrics; excellent team skills to collaborate; and proficient in use of data base tools and Microsoft Office products.
YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
Quarterly and annual (internal) reporting and oversight:
1. Support property and facility management in oversight of ESG, emission reporting, energy initiatives and related Capex and Op Ex planning, lease term alignment to ESG strategy and goals, utility reporting and any required trend analysis.
2. Operate the internal data reporting process and validate data quality, including Rio compiling ESG platform reporting data and internally sourced metrics.
3. Support shareholder reporting requirements.
Vendor/Procurement:
4. ESG DDQ inbox - Review DDQ responses to ESG questions. If no issues, can resolve. If not, escalate.
5. Vendor engagement & data monitoring, especially around Scope 3.
CSRD & TCFD:
6. Manage adoption on CSRD implementation across business functions.
7. Operate and embed Double Materiality Assessment (DMA)
8. Assist in reviewing and update TCFD report and metrics on a quarterly and annual basis.
9. Assist in updating policies and procedures to cover all narrative and semi-narrative data points in CSRD/ESRS.
Support communication strategies to increase and reinforce internal ESG strategies.
YOUR PROFILE
10. 5+ years Accounting and/or finance experience to support data gathering and disclosure reporting.
11. 3 - 5 years compliance and/or risk management experience to support creation and adoption of well-designed risk management control processes.
12. Strong analytic skills working with varied data across business groups.
13. Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact across the organization.
14. Collaborative Team player who will contribute to attainment of business and company goals.
15. Proactive self-starter.
16. Excel proficiency excellent, required.
