IT Asset and Configuration Management is a critical capability underpinning all IT services for colleagues and customers. To support and enable the ongoing transformation of PTSB, Group Technology is continuing to enhance our capability to track and manage IT asset inventories, vulnerabilities, and life cycles. A key component of this exercise is the continual development of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the integration and alignment of Asset and Configuration Management processes with other ITIL activities including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an individual to join the IT Asset and Configuration Management team to be trained as an analyst supporting the continued development of the IT Asset Management framework and contribute to Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives that will directly enhance and improve customer and colleague-facing IT services.
Responsibilities:
* Support the IT Asset Management process.
* Support the ITAM framework, process, and control procedures.
* Develop the ITAM toolset to support the processes.
* Identify and progress process enhancements for IT Asset and Configuration Management.
* Align ITAM activities with key supporting processes including, but not limited to, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Service Availability Management.
* Collaborate with key business units to progress ITAM best practices.
* Optimize and manage Software licenses to manage licensing and support costs.
* Assist software and hardware license renewal processes in collaboration with Procurement and all business and technical stakeholders.
* Support the hardware asset lifecycle from implementation to retirement and asset recycling and destruction.
* Assist and collaborate with business owners and technical owners on software vendor audits and entitlement assessments.
* Engage with other IT teams to ensure open and constructive communications take place.
* Support relevant partner relationships in the business and with 3rd parties.
* Support the business in the review and development of new initiatives and opportunities to enhance overall asset lifecycle management.
* Represent the IT Asset and Configuration Management Team as required on working groups and focus groups.
* Ensure that all risks associated with IT asset and configuration management are identified and appropriate controls are implemented and continually reviewed to minimize risk exposures.
* Ensure all work practices and processes are fully compliant with the Bank's policies and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure that controls within the relevant Internal Control Framework processes are followed and continually refined and improved.
Requirements:
* 5+ years experience in relevant fields such as IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, and Configuration Management.
* Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload.
* Application administration and management experience.
* Ability to work well with teams and build strong working relationships.
* Knowledge of different tools and techniques used in Asset and Configuration Management (CMDB, SNOW, and ILMT experience advantageous).
* Demonstrating flexibility in delivering on project priorities.
* Ability to manage internal and external relationships.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
