Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Used Car Sales Manager to join a "New Start Up" used car motor sales company who will be selling and importing Used Cars from Japan. This Japanese second-hand car company has decades of sales history and a very strong background in the motor industry. They are now entering the Irish market which offers a great opportunity for an ambitious Used Car Sales Manager to join a company at the start-up stage who have ambitious plans of expansion in Europe.
Role will suit a dynamic forward-thinking Used Car Sales Manager with contacts in the Irish motor industry combined with extensive experience in used car sales. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the Irish used car market and a proven track record in automotive sales management. This role demands strategic thinking, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor sales staff to achieve ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Performance Management: Oversee and optimize the used car sales function through effective sales process management, ensuring maximum profitability of the business.
2. Appraisal and Valuation Management: Lead the appraisal and valuation processes ensuring to attract new business while meeting budget objectives.
3. Stock Procurement: Utilize diverse sourcing methods to directly purchase used car stock.
4. Pricing Strategy: Control retail pricing and stock profile parameters, swiftly identifying gaps and directing purchasing efforts to capitalize on opportunities.
5. Trade Disposal Maximization: Enhance trade disposal opportunities through various channels, including internal resources and auctions.
6. Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of customer information, sales activities, vehicle documentation, and other relevant data.
7. Sales Campaign Planning: Participate in the development of sales campaigns and promotions to maximize sales potential.
8. Customer Experience Excellence: Deliver a first-class service and exceptional customer experience.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within the used car market.
2. Extensive knowledge of the Irish used car market, including pricing strategies, market trends, and customer preferences.
3. Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing high-performing sales teams.
4. Strong understanding of finance and insurance (F&I) processes in used car sales.
5. Proficiency with CRM systems and inventory management software.
6. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
8. High level of customer service orientation.
9. Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.
10. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
