Principal Accountabilities
A Site Engineer with 4+ years of experience is sought to join the Land Development Agency as a Resident Engineer, contributing to the Construction Team's day-to-day management of construction, technical, and operational aspects of projects.
Person Specifications/Requirements
* Responsible for on-site supervision of construction stages, ensuring contractors perform works according to design.
* Ensure works are constructed as required, organizing adequate supervision of construction works on-site.
* Reporting to the Employer's Representative.
* Coordinating Contract interfaces regarding works.
* Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on same.
* Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed.
* Assessment of Contractor submissions, including method statements, and preparation of clear comments.
* Supervision of works, keeping records, measuring, managing correspondence, and contractual documentation.
* Record detailed reports of all works and significant happenings on-site, including photographic records where necessary.
* Ensure all recorded work is approved prior to execution and document any mishaps, such as delays or industrial disputes.
* Attend regular site meetings, alerting other site supervisory staff to matters affecting their work.
* Assist with contract administration, adhering to Safety, Health and Welfare at Work legislation.
* Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
* Hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering.
* Satisfactory knowledge of civil engineering works, building construction, and project management.
* At least 4 years' experience working as a Resident Engineer.
* Strong ability in delivering results and performance management.
* Detailed experience in delivering residential projects.
* Direct experience in project management and good knowledge of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations.
* Excellent Communication skills and high attention to detail.
* Highly motivated and self-driven.
Experience
* Preferably 4 years PQE in a relevant area.
* Demonstrable willingness to take on new responsibilities and ability to work unsupervised or part of a team within a well-defined project organization structure.
* Driven, proactive solutions & results-focused team player, able to adapt to new challenges.
* Keen interest in the development process and developing skillsets like project and development management, contractual, commercial and financial aspects of development projects, building and managing stakeholder relationships, Technical knowledge – understanding of technical principles, construction buildability, technical solutions value engineering.
* Full clean driving license for site travel.
