Responsibilities
* Contribute innovative engineering ideas, conduct research, trials, and challenge conventional thinking.
* Apply CAD design (Fusion 360) and prototyping skills to create various motorized gimbal systems, mechanisms, and optical actuators.
* Perform preliminary structural analysis simulations (Fusion 360) for modal and static analysis.
* Develop complex models to determine launch load survivability and thermal fluctuations.
* Create high-precision Actuators, gimbals, and multifunctional systems.
* Work on optomechanics, including Optical Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (MAIT).
* Participate in hands-on workshop activities, emphasizing the importance of real-world design knowledge gained from early builds, trials, and testing of prototypes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEng, or equivalent qualification.
* 2+ years of experience in mechanical, aerospace, optical, or related engineering fields.
* Interest in the high-tech, aerospace, or space sectors.
* Hands-on experience in completing projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in R&D environments is beneficial.
* Familiarity with 3D printing of polymers and/or metals is advantageous.
* Experience designing parts for CNC milling manufacturing.
* Understanding of engineering drawings production for both in-house and external manufacturing.
