Senior Controller
Purpose and Role Summary
The SAP Business Area Controlling (BAC) Sales division is a driving force behind the standardization and harmonization of Controlling processes and tools within SAP's Controlling community. We currently have an opening for a position within our Business Area Controlling Global Customer Success team. The role involves delivering controlling services and championing a role as a reliable financial business partner to Global L1 / L2 Sales Units. The incumbent shall utilize their expertise in fostering financial transparency across various organizational dimensions, assuring compliance and endorsing financial sustainability.
Responsibilities Include
1. Guiding financial activities such as forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis, and financial closing to facilitate optimal financial performance.
2. Preparing and presenting the financial narrative to senior management supporting their business objectives.
3. Encouraging business transformation and changes to meet financial goals, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
4. Guaranteeing financial transparency to strengthen business unit decisions.
5. Facilitating month-end and quarter-end closing activities including the latest estimate forecast, accruals.
6. Executing business analysis to provide actionable insight to our business partners.
7. Collaborating with stakeholders across various business units and within SAP.
8. Supporting the development of business models and cases.
9. Enhancing team dynamics and collaboration, embodying the spirit of One Team.
10. Safeguarding transparency and compliance with financial guidelines.
11. Enthusiastically adopting agile working methods and nurturing an agile mindset.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a focus on finance and controlling.
2. Exceptional analytical and impressive problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent at working in a virtual team environment and independently with considerable self-initiative.
4. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Experience with SAP products (e.g., SAP CO/FI, Business Warehouse) is preferred.
6. Previous experience with SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) would be advantageous.
7. Capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
8. Good understanding of IT business models.
9. Excellent time management and ability to perform under stress and time pressure.
10. Fluent in spoken and written English.
