Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer to join our team based on a customer site in Co. Cork.
Responsibilities:
* Provide price quotations to customers and negotiate the best value for money.
* Maintain records of quotations provided for audit purposes and follow company procedures.
* Liaise with external suppliers, Engineering, Pharmaceutical, and Biomedical customers, and third-party sub-contractors to maintain proactive and successful relations.
* Place purchase orders for new and existing products using our ERP system.
* Issue, receive, and manage customers' owned inventory and utilize their ERP stock management systems.
* Utilize the customer ERP system for storeroom practices such as Cycle Counting, Stock Checks, and Material Planning.
* Process and pay any returns to suppliers as needed.
* Maintain stock control records and ensure compliance with all company Health and Safety requirements within the Engineering Stores team.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in procurement and negotiation, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
* Strong IT skills, including Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc).
* Previous experience with spare parts or MRO.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A hardworking and reliable individual.
