PepsiCo is on the look-out for a Global Design Associate Engineer to join our global engineering function based in Cork.

The Technical Function is our team of enabling experts offering knowledge and partnership to functions on specialist subjects including engineering, quality and productivity. Responsibilities
1. Provide Process Engineering capability specializing in process design solutions for PGCS Beverage Concentrate Manufacturing Platforms
2. Ensure new & existing products/formulas are manufactured to PepsiCo standards
3. Support the design of key Strategic Capital Programs and Initiatives
4. Support designs incorporating innovative solutions and leverage new technology to deliver value to the business
5. Support the development and leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment design.
6. Provide technical guidance during project design and implementation, including Commissioning & Process Qualification, to assure viability of technology in proposed configuration
7. Utilize Engineering first principles, scientific methods, and processing systems knowledge to develop technical process equipment solutions that both create new business opportunities and solve existing equipment needs.
8. Develop sustainable engineering practices and programmes ensuring sustainability in plant design and operation
Qualifications
1. Degree qualification in Chemical or Process engineering or equivalent
2. Experience required in the following areas: Process plant technical standards, Project concept development, Business case and capital approval, Design, Procurement and Installation
3. Construction, Commissioning and Validation
4. Environmental, health and safety management
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organization
Additional Skills
1. Proven experience delivering the design aspects of small to medium capital projects on an on-going operation in a diverse environment
2. Food & Beverage experience
For the purposes of external advertising we have called this role a Global Design Associate Engineer. However, please note that the internal job title the successful candidate will have will be Maint/Eng Asst Engineer.
