Were looking for an Engineering Craft Technician to join our client whos one of the leading firms in the food manufacturing sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and plant services.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all production machinery and plant services.
Work with various electrical systems, including PLCs (Siemens/Allen Bradley), electrical cabinets, electrical containment, and sensors.
Utilize testing equipment, de-bugging tools, and systems development techniques to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and systems.
Participate in programming and systems development related to plant operations, including steam, air, and water systems.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety, GMP, and documentation standards.
Maintain detailed maintenance records, job cards, and reports in line with company procedures.
Provide cover during Engineering staff holidays as required.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve equipment issues.
Demonstrate an initiative to improve skills, learn new technologies, and enhance processes.
Essential Qualifications:
Qualified to Senior Trades level or comparable European NFQ qualifications in an Electro-Mechanical discipline.
FETAC Level 6 Accreditation, Solas apprenticeship, City & Guilds apprenticeship, or a similar qualification in an Electro-Mechanical field.
Strong experience in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
Ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge of controls, pneumatics, welding, and other relevant technologies.
Familiarity with safety standards, documentation, and GMP compliance.
Strong written and communication skills, with a focus on record-keeping and report writing.
Proven ability to work as part of a team, offering support and cooperation to colleagues.
Basic PC literacy, with the ability to navigate and manage files.
Proactive in improving and developing multi-skilling abilities.
