On behalf of our client based in the public health sector, we are now recruiting for occupational therapy assistants based in Navan, Co. Meath. These roles are part-time and full-time on a temporary basis and remuneration is reflected in the first point of the national salary scale for this position.
Core Responsibilities:
* Manage own caseload according to post requirements.
* Collaborate with service users, families, and staff on treatment plans.
* Follow and assist in implementing treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist.
* Organize and maintain Occupational Therapy programs as directed.
* Facilitate individual and group interventions under Occupational Therapist supervision.
* Prepare resources and environments for assessments and interventions.
* Assist service users in personal, domestic, work, and community living skills training.
* Provide opportunities for service users to engage in purposeful activities and maintain occupational roles.
* Record and report intervention outcomes, maintaining accurate clinical notes.
* Carry out administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
* Assist in managing and ordering equipment and materials.
* Participate in service planning and improvements with Occupational Therapy staff.
* Engage in ongoing education, training, and personal development.
* Adhere to Health and Safety standards and report any incidents.
* Promote and participate in sustainable practices within the health service.
