Overview
We are seeking a seasoned BMS Design Engineer to take on new challenges.
This opportunity involves delivering complex BMS system designs for various projects across the pharmaceutical, food, mission-critical, medtech, advanced manufacturing, and energy sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Work independently with clients to understand project requirements and deliver BMS system design to a specific standard for installation detail development and compliance monitoring.
2. Manage client interfaces to comprehend project needs and present design at key stages.
3. Design control systems across multiple BMS platforms to create required project documentation, including I/O lists, sequence of operations, scope of works, functional specifications, and hardware specifications.
4. Develop BMS System Architecture & Topography.
5. Select, approve, and design instrumentation.
6. Cross-disciplinary collaboration within and outside the office.
7. BOD BMS Cost Estimates.
8. Manage BMS Contractors by reviewing and commenting on site queries, technical submittals, panel shop drawings, and wiring diagrams for compliance with design intent.
9. Approve panel FAT documents and SAT documents.
10. Witness testing of panel FATs and site SATs when applicable.
11. Attend meetings, actively participating in discussions.
12. Address daily issues, develop solutions for successful resolution.
13. Lead and coach younger engineers and colleagues.
14. Multitask on various projects and manage own projects and deliverables.
Qualifications
1. Level 8 University Engineering degree (Mechanical, Building Services, Automation Engineering) or equivalent, minimum five years of relevant experience preferred.
2. Strong knowledge and background in BMS.
3. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, data centre, or health-related facilities.
4. Experience in GMP manufacturing facilities and Data Centres.
5. Experience in BMS redundancy design.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Understanding of current good manufacturing practices, 21 CFR Part 11, 210 and 211, and Annex 11.
8. General knowledge of network configuration, computer hardware and software, automation applications.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Vision, PowerPoint).
10. Ability to work well with employees at all levels.
