We currently have a vacancy for an Apprentice Fitter to join our team.
Apprenticeship:
Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitter M.A.M.F. (4-year apprenticeship)
What you will learn:
The importance of adherence to safety procedures.
The importance of good housekeeping standards.
Day to day installation, maintenance and repairs in a busy manufacturing environment.
How to work with a variety of specialised tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders.
How to dismantle, repair or make and fit new parts when performing plant maintenance.
CNC machining/programming.
Interpretation of technical drawings and diagrams.
To be successful in this role:
You must have passed Ordinary level Maths and English subjects at leaving certificate to be eligible to apply, please visit: https://apprenticeship.ie/, outlining same
Must demonstrate a keen ambition for a career in this area.
Have a genuine interest in engineering and how things work.
Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Analytical approach to problem solving/trouble shooting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
Organised and structured approach to work
Self-motivated, high energy, positive attitude with initiative for timely completion of goals
On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified mechanical automation and maintenance fitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting.
