Private Client Solicitor Position
We are seeking a skilled Private Client Solicitor to join our team at {company}, a well-established law firm dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of private client law and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients. We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to manage a diverse caseload of private client matters, including:
* wills and probate
* estate planning and wealth management
* lasting powers of attorney and advance directives
The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients, conduct research on changes in private client law and regulations, and prepare and review legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Managing a caseload of private client matters
* Providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients
* Assisting clients with the preparation and execution of lasting powers of attorney and advance directives
* Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in private client law and regulations
* Liaising effectively with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in private client matters
* Preparing and reviewing legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
* Attending client meetings and consultations to address inquiries and provide tailored advice and solutions
* Upholding professional standards and ethics in all aspects of legal practice
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* 4+ years of experience in private client law
* A strong knowledge and understanding of wills, probate, estate planning, and lasting powers of attorney
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload efficiently
* A proactive and client-focused approach to legal practice
* Membership of STEP or willingness to work towards accreditation
* Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
