Job Description:
Senior Mechanical Engineer Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage full mechanical design projects while mentoring engineers and driving innovation in building services.
* Ensure quality control and compliance with Irish building regulations.
* Manage project costs, budgets, and timelines effectively.
* Oversee project teams and cross-functional teams.
* Represent the company in client meetings, site visits, and technical surveys.
* Collaborate with teams across multiple locations.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement).
* 6+ years of experience in Building Services Consultancy Design.
* Strong expertise in water services, HVAC, LTHW, fuel systems, drainage, and BMS.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, particularly TGD Parts B, F, G, and L.
* Experience with thermal modelling, energy assessments, and dynamic energy modelling (advantageous).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BIM software (strong advantage).
* Chartership is desirable but not essential.
