Ayrton Group are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join our client, an Energy Management Solutions company, on a manufacturing facility project in Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
As Health and Safety Advisor, you will be involved in monitoring and implementing the Health and Safety Management System throughout the business and ensuring compliance with relevant Health and Safety Regulations.
You will ensure coordination of services in relation to all Health and Safety matters, making sure that risk assessments are operational, reviewed, and managed. You will review incidents related to Health and Safety and ensure the implementation and monitoring of recommendations.
This is an initial 10-month contract role with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the development, implementation, upkeep, and training of the company Safety Management System.
* Conduct regular site audits/inspections to ensure Health and Safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
* Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
* Manage reporting, conduct associated investigations, and implement corrective actions.
* Swiftly identify and appropriately respond to hazardous situations.
* Provide crucial support to management in preventing and resolving Health and Safety issues.
* Design and implement safety training programs that align with legal requirements and company policies, procedures, and practices.
* Organise and deliver training to employee and subcontractors as required.
* Management of Health & Safety paperwork on-site.
* Manage PPE for on-site employees.
Key Requirements:
* 3+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
* Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
* Knowledge of PSCS would be advantageous.
* First Aid Responder certification would be beneficial.
* Exhibit a high level of process understanding, operating in compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
