The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused Principal electrical engineer to join our critical systems team in our Dublin office, and to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions on some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in the world.
You will collaborate within our critical systems team and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help drive and manage the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
The role entails your being very closely involved within the design process and production of design deliverables, managing your immediate team of engineers. You will monitor budgets and programme, checking designs and communicating with the wider project and client team.
You will use your existing expertise, enthusiasm and dedication to manage, motivate and inspire your colleagues, including helping to develop less experienced engineers.
You will support, and be supported by, senior staff within the team.
The Skills
A Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership, educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng), you have gained significant experience in an electrical engineering role within the critical systems / data centres. Equivalent electrical engineering design skills gained in other fields may be considered.
In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage small to medium-scale projects and small teams of engineers to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.
You have proven ability in producing electrical designs, including schematic diagrams, layouts, calculations, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, detail design development as well as contributing to project meetings. Through this experience, you will support your project teams to deliver excellent electrical designs.
