Job Summary:
TTM Healthcare are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused Dietitian to join our team, assisting in the provision of high-quality clinical nutrition and dietetic services across outpatient, inpatient, and daycare settings.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain diverse experience across multiple specialties within a private hospital environment. Areas of focus include Oncology, Palliative Care, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Orthopaedics, Respiratory, and General Surgery.
Duties:
1. Provide Nutrition and Dietetic Services for outpatient, inpatient, and daycare settings within the hospital.
2. Collaborate with medical, nursing, and other clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records as outlined in departmental policies.
4. Record dietetic statistics on a daily basis.
5. Participate in weekly meetings, including oncology and discharge planning multidisciplinary teams (MDT).
6. Coordinate with catering staff regarding therapeutic diets.
7. Deliver nutrition education to hospital staff as required by the Head of Department.
8. Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures for Nutrition and Dietetic Services.
9. Stay informed on developments in Nutrition and Dietetics, particularly in Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and weight management. Develop, review, and update Nutrition Resource Materials and diet sheets.
10. Adhere to health and safety protocols in the department and across the hospital.
11. Ensure quality standards are implemented and maintained to provide excellent service.
12. Maintain good work practices, uphold safety standards, and promote a safe working environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications:
1. Hold a qualification approved by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
2. Be registered with the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
3. Maintain live annual registration with the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
4. Have experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in a hospital setting.
5. Possess the knowledge and ability (including excellent teamwork skills and the capacity to prioritise a caseload in a busy environment) required for the role.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in English equivalent to level 7 of the International English Language Testing System.
7. Be eligible for membership with the INDI.
8. Strong interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
