An exciting opportunity has arisen within our organisation for a Residential Leader to join our Adult Residential Services in Kildare.

This exciting role will involve working with many other disciplines as part of a wider team that promotes positive risk management, inclusion in all aspects of society, and attention to the will and preference of the people we support.
Report writing is computerised and all care documentation is recorded and stored electronically so a working knowledge of technology is desirable.
Essential requirements for the role include a commitment to developing and implementing Person Centred Plans and Care Support Plans that are in keeping with the vison, values, choice, skills, will and preference of each person within the residential setting.
Be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with each individual, their families, other professionals and people important in the individual's life.
Be flexible and capable of managing priorities within their workload.
They should be competent to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player supporting their colleagues.
Requirements: On the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, RNID or awaiting registration OR
Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications); 3 years' managerial experience. Excellent Communication Skills to include Leadership, Mentoring, Support and Supervision. Have a robust knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and statutory requirements and their responsibilities as a Person In Charge. Excellent, interpersonal, organisational, logistical and IT skills. Full current Driving Licence. Support, supervise and motivate the staff teams reporting to them. Have a key focus in supporting the individuals be active citizens within their local community. Participation in the regional On-call roster. Expected to maintain up to date and accurate records to ensure a high standard of care and support is provided to each individual at all times. Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role. Please note that the successful candidates will be required to be available for Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, one evening and weekend on rotation basis.
In addition, we may require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents' homes.
