Join the V Team Life.What you’ll be doing...The Consultant, Supply Chain Risk will be responsible for supply chain risk assessments related to sourcing requests when hardware or software are being acquired. This work involves detailed, in-depth analyses of suppliers/sub-suppliers, products, geographies, and component-level bills-of-materials to document Verizon’s supply chain risks associated with acquisitions of products.The Consultant, Supply Chain Risk will routinely interact with Verizon and non-Verizon stakeholders to ensure that proper information is collected and assessed in a timely manner. In addition, the Consultant, Supply Chain Risk will propose and operationalize risk mitigation strategies (working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders), as well as playing a key role in expanding Verizon’s Supply Chain Resilience Management (SCRM) program and working with stakeholders to ensure compliance with published procedures.Position Responsibilities:Develop innovative methods to collect information of importance in assessing risks to Verizon’s global supply chain.Keep apprised of the changing supply chain risk environment and continually assess impacts to Verizon.Contribute to databases that are used for assessing and visualizing risks and for record-keeping.Drawing from industry best practices, develop and implement methods to assess and communicate supply chain risks.Develop and implement mitigation strategies to enable Verizon to achieve various levels of risk, based on desired risk tolerance levels.Participate in further improvements of Verizon’s SCRM program and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with published procedures.What we’re looking for...You’ll need to have:A Bachelor's degree and experience within Supply Chain, Business analytics, Computer science, Information Systems, Business Operations, or related fields.Strong Project Management skills for successful project delivery, with hands on experience with project management/collaboration tools.Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work across functional teams.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong critical thinking combined with business intuition and intellectual curiosity.Ability to synthesize, create and communicate clear analytical studies.Experience in Risk Assessment/Audit and in Security Planning/Execution is a plusExperience with Python, R, SAS, JMP or other advanced statistical software is a plusIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.Where you’ll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours37.5Diversity and InclusionWe’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
