Job Title: Procurement Analyst
The position of Procurement Analyst plays a vital role in driving strategic decision-making and operational excellence within the Global Procurement & External Supply department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, including procurement systems, databases, spreadsheets, and other relevant platforms.
2. Data Cleaning and Preparation: Cleanse and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
3. Data Analysis: Utilize statistical techniques, data mining, and visualization tools to analyze procurement data and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
4. Performance Monitoring: Track key procurement metrics and KPIs such as spend analysis, supplier performance, contract compliance, and savings realization.
5. Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
6. Support category managers in developing RFx materials and participating in evaluation of outcomes of RFx activities.
7. Support category managers in planning, setting up, and executing eSourcing activities like eAuctions.
8. Supplier Relationship Management: Assist in evaluating supplier performance, conducting supplier risk assessments, and optimizing supplier relationships.
9. Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
10. Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in procurement analytics to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and sourcing strategies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Excellent financial understanding with the ability to proactively create business cases and use and understand financial terms such as PPV, NPV, IRR, pay back, WACC, amortization, and depreciation.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
* An exceptional user of SAP with knowledge of how and where to extract relevant procurement data.
* Experience working with end-to-end sourcing suites like SAP Ariba, Smart by GEP, Coupa, or other similar suites will be beneficial.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
* English – written and spoken is a must. Any other languages like German, French, or Spanish will be an asset.
Work Environment:
* Based at GMS & International headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
* Travel as required to fulfill responsibilities of the role (typically up to 10%).
