This role involves extensive global supplier interaction and you will be primarily desk-based operating under a hybrid working model. Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your role will include:
1. Process Optimisation: Analyse and enhance manufacturing processes to improve quality, cost, and productivity.
2. Troubleshoot Production Issues: Identify, address, and resolve production challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed.
3. Technical Support: Provide expert guidance on manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
4. Process Validation: Develop, execute, and review process validation protocols and reports.
5. Implement Changes: Evaluate and implement process changes to meet production goals and improve efficiency.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation related to manufacturing processes and quality control measures.
7. Project Management: Manage and support engineering projects from inception through to completion.
8. Supplier Coordination: Support the identification and integration of second-source suppliers for critical components.
Requirements:
9.. in a Technical Discipline: Engineering, Science, Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.
10. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within the medical device or other highly regulated industries
11. Process Validation Techniques: Proven experience with process validation techniques
12. Project Management: Strong ability to manage and oversee technical projects
13. Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: Expertise in process improvement, problem-solving, and data analysis
14. Industry Practices: Familiarity with industry practices, techniques, and standards
Preferred but not Essential
15. Electronic Assembly: Experience in electronic assembly
16. Six Sigma Training: Certification or training in Six Sigma
17. SolidWorks Proficiency: Proficiency in SolidWorks
