As a Senior Software Engineer in Test at Equifax, you will play a pivotal role in both the development and testing of high-priority initiatives. The Senior Software Engineer in Test will develop and test new products to support technology operations while upholding the highest standards. Collaborating effectively within the team, you will deliver essential QA services, encompassing code quality, testing services, performance engineering, development collaboration, and continuous integration. This role will conduct rigorous quality control tests to ensure full compliance with specified standards and end-user requirements. Tests will be executed according to established plans and scripts, with problems meticulously documented in an issues log and retested for resolution. Test files will be created to thoroughly examine program logic and verify system flow. You will proactively identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to optimize QA strategies.What you will do:Develop Test Strategies and Plans in conjunction with App Engineering, Architecture and Prod Arch. This includes Data creation and managementIdentifying regression tests for future regression scenariosIdentify and assure creation of re-usable, automated testsExecute all test cases, and detect defects earlyPretest and validate deployment plans with steps to be takenExecute post-deployment verification plans and record resultsExecute resilience testing plan and resultsGenerate code quality reports (SonarQube)Put code through fortify scans via automationAssure at least 80% Unit test coverageEstablish common defect severity definitions across the company so that there is alignment between service tribesComplete Web accessibility testing with no open violations for customer facing web interfaces (WCAG)Ensure end-customer needs and associated value chain to drive processes and practices to ensure flawless customer experience.Complete application vulnerability and penetration testing with no active violationsRaise any issues with developers and product ownersCreate test automation suite and design necessary documentation for automated processesShorten and amplify feedback loops to deliver products faster and with higher qualityWhat experience you need:BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required5+ years experience in Quality Engineering or similar roleWhat could set you apart:Experience with performance engineering and profiling (e.g. Java JVM, Databases) and tools such as Load Runner, JMeterSome exposure to Application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace and SplunkAble to create good acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate with Continuous integration (Jenkins) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover) to ensure 80% or higher code coverageStrong development skills and can code with Java and SpringExperience working in a TDD/BDD environment and can utilize technologies such as JUnit, Rest Assured, Appium, Jbehave/Cucumber frameworks, APIs (REST/SOAP)Understand Continuous Delivery concepts and can use tools including Jenkins/Bamboo and vulnerability tools such as Sonar, Checkmarx/Fortify, etc.Exposure to cloud, Infrastructure as code conceptExpertise with cross device testing strategies and automation via device cloudsExperience preparing and delivering executive level presentations to businesses and technology audiencesExperience monitoring and developing resourcesExcellent coding and analytical skills
