Role Profile: Our client, a leading organisation in the FMCG industry, is seeking a Financial Accountant to fill this position.
Reporting to the CFO, this role will act as a crucial link between finance and the wider business.
This role will oversee group reporting, KPI analysis, financial operations, and cash flow projections, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
This position is based in west Dublin and offers flexible hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyse business performance against KPIs and budgets, delivering insightful reports to senior management.
• Manage the monthly management accounts process, including reconciliations, stock counts, and variance analysis.
• Oversee cash management, including projections and streamlining collection procedures.
• Manage payroll processes, ensuring compliance and generating people cost reports.
• Ensure tax compliance related to staff remuneration and collaborate with HR on policy documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable and drive cost control initiatives.
• Assist with annual audits, VAT, excise, and corporation tax returns.
• Support treasury management, including banking system administration and payment authorization.
• Contribute to the annual reporting budget preparation.
• Maintain the integrity of financial data, including ledger controls and month-end closure.
• Stay updated on financial reporting standards and legislation.
• Supervise accounts receivable, including invoicing and debt recovery.
• Manage fixed asset accounting.
Experience Required:
• Qualified Accountant
• Newly qualified accountant, 1 year PQE ideally from a professional services firm
• Excellent financial acumen and knowledge of accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach.
