We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to work in Amsterdam, one of the most exciting cities in Europe. You will work on a Data Centre construction project and develop your skills with the world's leaders in turnkey bespoke data centres.

It is a permanent role offering higher basic salaries compared to Ireland, and on top of your basic salary, you get an extra living allowance (€13k gross per year). The Role
* Complete Electrical design reviews to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications and IFC drawings.
* Generate detailed RFI’s to address any ambiguity or potential design issues.
* Validate equipment sizing (cable, containment, etc.) and make recommendations as appropriate.
* Manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.
* Complete Electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
* Attend and record regular supplier and sub-contractor meetings to ensure that progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction programme.
* Manage, review and co-ordinate Electrical services in conjunction with other disciplines and the project BIM team.
* Advise and guide the sub-contracted staff on all technical aspects of the project.
* Along with the construction team, ensure sub-contractor compliance with all site and project requirements, including operational and health & safety obligations.
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
* Coordinate with the project team to sequence the installation of Electrical systems in the most efficient and safe way.
* Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actions.
* Manage document control to ensure all logs are kept up to date.
Experience Required
* A relevant qualification is essential, e.g., a degree in Electrical Engineering. A trade qualification would be an advantage.
* 5+ years of previous experience in a similar role, within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment is essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems in data centre environment.
* Ability to maintain good customer relationships with other contractors whilst working on sites.
* Proficiency in the use of MS Word & Excel is required.
