The Quantity Surveyor oversees the cost and expenditures related to a building project. They are the financial managers of the construction project working as part of the Building and Planning department. The Quantity Surveyor will be an integral part of the decision-making process throughout the build. This will involve the following on a daily basis: Key Responsibilities Live and promote Nua Healthcares core principles in all interactions and activities. Perform a key role in the management of construction and renovation projects within Nua Healthcare Services. Ensuring that financial and contractual aspects of the building and planning processes are effectively handled. Responsible for cost management, procurement, and budgeting across all projects. Completing contract administration for the department. Ensuring all projects align with the healthcare sector's regulatory and safety standards. Support the architects to ensure that construction projects are delivered within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Complete reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring reports meet Nua Healthcare policy and professional standards. Complete all mandatory training assigned through Nua Healthcares Learning Management System. Promote a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation. Be aware of and implement agreed policies, procedures, and safe professional practices by adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and standards. Qualification: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying. Full drivers licence. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of building contracts, procurement processes, and cost control in construction. Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the healthcare, residential or public sector construction. Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and work under tight deadlines. Skills: Excellent organisational skills; self-motivated; self-starter. Fluent in written and spoken English. Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude. Strong analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost estimation and financial management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills and judgment in making decisions and recommendations. Capable of working within a fast-paced and flexible team.
