Duties
As an Accounts Payable / Purchasing Specialist, you will support the financial operations of our Cork office. Specifically, you will:
1. Manage supplier payments, remittances, and queries to support healthy cashflow
2. Process and reconcile invoices, maintaining accurate accounts payable records
3. Support banking, treasury, and intercompany transactions
4. Assist with month-end closing, budgeting, and cashflow planning
5. Investigate and resolve payment issues or irregularities
6. Raise and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
7. Maintain accurate purchasing data in line with company guidelines
8. Address non-conformance issues and co-ordinate with internal teams
What we need from you
1. Relevant purchasing or accounts payable experience or a third-level qualification in business, accounting or commerce
2. Strong IT skills and understanding of purchase ordering cycles
3. Proficiency in computerised accounting packages, preferably SAGE
4. Exceptional organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
5. The ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and meet deadlines
Although not essential, experience in a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
