We are seeking an Assistant Meeting & Events Sales Manager to join our team here at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel and Dublin Royal Convention Centre. The Assistant Meeting & Events Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the hotel and its associated entities: Dublin Royal Convention Centre, Old Town Café, Old Town Wine Bar, and Valvaere Spa, ensuring a high standard of customer service. This role involves managing and coordinating meeting and event inquiries, ensuring a seamless experience for clients, and driving sales for the hotel's facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage meeting and event inquiries via phone, email, and third-party websites.
2. Ensure timely and professional responses to all inquiries, inputting them into the Opera system.
3. Coordinate proposals and contracts, ensuring they meet venue standards.
4. Promote hotel facilities through client show-arounds.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of meeting and event bookings.
6. Ensure contracts are signed and deposits are paid according to terms.
7. Confirm billing details before events to prevent revenue loss.
8. Welcome clients during events and follow up post-event to gather feedback and secure repeat business.
9. Analyse lost bookings and report findings to the director.
10. Regularly review PM reports and process commission payments monthly.
11. Prepare late licenses for future events and assist with office management in the absence of senior managers.
12. Support team training and development plans.
13. Research potential clients and schedule sales appointments.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a meetings and events department.
2. Opera Cloud experience is desired but not essential.
3. Strong communication, organizational, and sales skills.
4. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and support the team’s success.
