Role Purpose
As an Electrical Engineer, you will oversee the engineering aspects of a specific construction project. The tasks associated with the project will vary and will be agreed upon with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis. You will coordinate the technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning, ensuring the company's vision, mission, and values are met.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
You will work closely with your project team to execute various stages of a project, including:
* Completing electrical design reviews to identify design gaps and deviations in specifications.
* Validating cable sizing and making recommendations as necessary.
* Ensuring timely completion of technical assessments and resolving technical issues promptly.
* Compiling and issuing electrical technical submittals, managing the approvals process, tracking procurement, and verifying receipt of electrical equipment.
* Attending supply chain meetings to ensure progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction programme.
* Updating system trackers aligned with the construction schedule.
* Liaising with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of plant on site and successful handover.
* Completing electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems meet specifications and drawings.
* Compiling test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms for approval.
* Managing specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure timely completion of their works.
Necessary Requirements
An Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering or building services engineering, and experience in both LV and MV systems, primarily in building services and data centre environments. A proven track record of delivering small to medium-sized electrical projects (Commercial, Industrial, Pharma, Data Centre type projects) is essential. Commercial awareness and experience developing technical submittals, completing technical reviews, and assessments are also required.
