Lead Security Supervisor
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and efficient team leader to oversee daily security operations for our client. The primary responsibility is ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality security services throughout the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage day-to-day security operations, including team development and support.
* Maintain high customer satisfaction levels by consistently delivering top-tier service.
* Foster strong communication with on-site teams and security personnel at other client locations.
* Serve as the primary contact for all security-related services, ensuring excellent client service.
* Ensure the site(s) operate smoothly, adhering to service agreements and specifications.
* Conduct onboarding and in-role training for security staff, following both client and company standards.
* Work with the Contract Manager and HR to recruit security personnel, following company protocols.
* Organize coverage for security personnel during absences or holidays.
* Manage and record security staff attendance and absences.
* Liaise with both the client and staff, oversee visitor activities, monitor CCTV, and handle alarm activations according to procedures.
* Answer and manage phone calls, including directing inquiries and handling messages.
* Greet and assist visitors, providing customer care as needed.
* Provide general administrative support, including diary management and maintaining the security building.
* Manage external services such as post, taxis, and couriers.
* Track the movement of staff and contractors in and out of the site.
* Ensure contractors are registered, inducted, and have the required permits.
* Oversee daily/monthly maintenance checks and facilities management.
* Handle access control tasks, including vehicle logs, searches, document verification, and managing ID cards.
* Conduct regular patrols of the premises.
* Prepare reports as needed and undertake any additional tasks requested by the Contract Manager.
* Perform ad-hoc duties and related responsibilities assigned by the line manager or authorized representative.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
* Proficient in IT, especially MS Office (Excel & Word).
* Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
* Full, clean driving license.
Essential Experience and Certifications:
* Valid PSA Licence.
* Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.
* Proficient in customer service principles and practices.
* Skilled in using computers and relevant software applications.
