Automotive Chassis Technical Specialist Technical Certificate of CreditThe Automotive Chassis Technician Specialist certificate program provides students with skills needed to enter the automotive industry as an entry level chassis technician. Topics covered include: shop safety, basic electrical/electronic theory and diagnosis, chassis components and types, steering system components and service, alignment theory and procedures, and brake system operation, diagnosis and repair.
Students who complete this program have participated in an automobile technician training program that was certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
Students may enter the Automotive Chassis Technician Specialist program any semester. A full-time student can complete this program in 2 semesters. To graduate, students must earn a minimum of 17 semester credit hours.
