Your Role as HR Officer
You will join an established HR team managing the full employee lifecycle for this business, providing professional HR support and advice to all staff across the company.
Key Responsibilities
* To assist the HR Manager with strategic plans and ongoing organization development as they impact human resources.
* To assist the HR Manager with the development and improvement of HR processes such as staff attendance, performance review, recruitment and selection, and learning and development.
* To assist the HR Manager in maintaining independent accreditations, such as ISO 9001.
* To issue, collate, and monitor the internal HR Satisfaction Survey.
* To draft and review job descriptions/person specifications for recruitment exercises.
* To draft recruitment adverts for local and national newspapers and websites.
* To conduct staff interviews, as appropriate.
* To monitor all employee recruitment to ensure compliance with Article 52.
* To issue letters of offer/contracts of employment and associated paperwork.
* To complete new employee HR inductions.
* To assist the HR Manager in developing training programs for new and existing employees.
* To monitor the completion of probationary reviews for new employees.
* To ensure all organizational charts/employee stats are updated with starters and leavers.
* To log completed performance appraisals and report any delays in receiving performance appraisals to the HR Manager.
* To update Corporate, Departmental, and Individual learning logs with training.
* To book training courses as per approved training request forms.
* To issue evaluation sheets once training has been completed.
* To advise staff on HR/Industrial Relations and employment law and its impact on their area.
* To keep the HRIS system up to date.
* To stay up to date with current and future employment legislation changes, HR best practice, case law, and other relevant knowledge.
Requirements for Success
* 2 years+ experience working in a HR department in a similar role.
* 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English & Maths, or equivalent.
* Competent in MS Office.
* Working towards or part-qualified CIPD status.
* Demonstrate experience in a busy HR Generalist role.
* Experience within the Manufacturing/Engineering sector is desirable.
