Our client is a specialised company who focus on chromatography, sample preparation, liquid handling & all related areas. They are seeking a Chromatography Sales Representative to be part of a specialised team with an already well-developed customer base. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Chromatography Sales Representative will ensure delivery of targets by selling a strong Chromatography product portfolio from a range of highly recognised manufacturers.
Role/Responsibilities:
1. Chromatography Sales: Responsible for identifying prospective customers of our clients Chromatography products and services within the defined geographical region.
2. A large portion of the role entails the servicing of existing accounts.
3. Expand market share for our clients Chromatography Product Portfolio.
4. To negotiate contracts and close orders with end users, purchasing departments and support all procurement processes.
5. Be able to clearly identify and interpret customer’s requirements, align their requirements to our client’s capabilities and apply our client’s solutions to the customer’s needs and effectively communicate these to customers.
6. Attend and support technical and business presentations, when required. Also trade shows, user meetings, customer seminars and other customer events.
7. Work cooperatively and effectively with your immediate colleagues in the Sales and Service groups as well as with colleagues to ensure at all times a high level of customer satisfaction with our products and services.
8. Consistently meet assigned KPI’s as set by sales management in the driving of commercial activities in region.
Experience/Qualifications:
9. Degree level qualification in a Chemistry, preferably with a strong sales or technical background in Chromatography
10. Relevant experience in a sales, be it capital analytical equipment or a consumables environment. Alternatively, a candidate with no sales experience, but someone with a strong commercial awareness and who has worked in a lab environment for over 1 year with a good knowledge of Chromatography would be considered.
11. A broad familiarity of the following industries: Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Environmental, Food & Beverage, Research & general Life Science.
12. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
13. Strong motivation to succeed.
14. Ability to learn and assimilate new information with strong attention to detail and accuracy
15. The position requires the ability to travel across a defined territory in Ireland
16. Experience of attending conferences, Trade shows etc
17. Hold a full, clean Driving license
